Puzzle World ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Puzzle World (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, your rights, and how we protect information. By using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We do not require registration to play core game content. If you voluntarily provide personal information (for example, if you contact support, register for an optional account, or enter a competition), we may collect:

  • Name (optional)
  • Email address (optional, typically for support or password recovery)
  • Any user-generated content you submit (for example feedback, names shown on leaderboards if you opt in)

2.2 Device & Usage Information (Automatically Collected)

When you use the App, we and certain third-party services automatically collect certain technical data including:

  • Device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID, device model)
  • Operating system and version
  • App version
  • Crash logs and diagnostics
  • Usage analytics (levels completed, session length, in-app purchases, settings)
  • Approximate/Coarse location only if you grant permission (we do not collect precise GPS location for the App's core features)

What we avoid collecting by default

We do not collect payment information directly (payments are handled by the app store billing system), and we do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., social security numbers, health data) as part of normal operation.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve the App and features
  • To analyze usage, diagnose issues, and fix bugs
  • To enable optional features you choose (for example leaderboards or cloud save)
  • To send transactional messages, such as support replies (if you opt to provide email)
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
Advertising: If the App displays ads, we use non-personalized ads by default for users identified as children. For general users we may show personalized ads only where permitted — see the Third Parties & Ads section.

4. Third-Party Services & Sharing

We may share limited information with third parties under strict conditions:

  • Service providers: analytics providers, crash reporting, cloud storage, and ad networks to deliver and improve the App.
  • Advertising: advertising networks may receive limited signals (like advertising ID) to show ads. We configure ad SDKs to respect children’s privacy where applicable.
  • Legal requests: we may disclose information to comply with laws, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Children’s Privacy (Important)

Puzzle World is designed to be family-friendly. We take extra precautions for children and follow applicable laws (such as COPPA in the United States) and Google Play Families policy.

Key commitments

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
  • We do not use personalized or interest-based advertising for users identified as children under 13.
  • We do not share children's personal information with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

What qualifies as personal information for children

For the purposes of children’s privacy, personal information includes: name, email address, phone number, precise location, persistent identifiers linked to the child, or photos and videos that identify the child.

Parental controls and verifiable consent

If any feature requires collection of personal data from a child under 13 we will first obtain verifiable parental consent. Parents can:

  • Request access to the child’s data
  • Request deletion of the child’s data
  • Refuse further collection or use of personal data

To exercise these rights for a child, contact us at woodall@preflight.us with the child's username (if any), device information, and a description of the request. We may require proof of parental status as part of the verification process.

Third-party SDKs & Family policy

Any third-party SDKs we use (ads, analytics, crash reporting) are configured to operate in a child-safe mode and comply with COPPA and Google Play Families policies. If you believe a third party integrated in the App is incorrectly collecting data on children, please contact us immediately so we can remediate.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have choices regarding certain data collection and processing:

  • Account data: request access, correction, or deletion of data you provided directly.
  • Marketing: opt out of promotional communications by contacting us.
  • Device/Ad identifiers: you can reset or limit ad identifiers on your device (through device settings) and opt out of personalized ads.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect information. However, no system is 100% secure. We will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law in the event of a data breach.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Anonymous or aggregated analytics data may be retained longer for product improvement.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy. If material changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice inside the App or via the contact email provided.
