This mission is going to involve a lot of bombing on our side, and some ship attack. Anyone who is comfortable with level-bombing is encouraged to do that rather than fly a fighter as the fighter space is seriously limited.
That having been said, the fighter plan in the East is a relatively simple one. We will be employing the same method that we used to good effect in Kerch in fending off the German bombing attacks. That method is a series of layered, mutually supportive BARCAPs.

The northernmost layer will be Gel 1 flight, consisting of 4 Yak-1PFs flown by the GIAP. The middle layer will be IAF 1 flight. The inner layer will be IAF 2 flight. The goal is to provide complete protection of our assets from enemy ground attack forces, while remaining close enough to provide mutual support against enemy fighters. There will be no delayed launch past about 2 or 3 minutes to make sure frames aren't a problem. All 12 aircraft will take off, establish their CAPs from the start of the mission, and use cruise settings to save as much fuel as possible. The goal here isn't to keep the CAP up for the whole mission, it's simply to stop the Germans when they attack with their big wave like they've been doing. It makes no sense for us to leave planes in reserve in the event of a late-game strike when we can't survive the first wave to begin with. So, this time, we'll be meeting force with force.
Gel 1's line-up will be posted soon.
IAF 1
4xYak-1PFs
Take off from Sevastopol airbase and establish a BARCAP between AH-6 and AK-6. Maintain CAP until out of fuel or contacted by the enemy. Remain mutually supportive with other CAP flights.
